Choose one of the websites from the list below, and reflect on (most of) the following questions in a review. The review should be about 1 ½ to 2 typed pages.

- Who is the author or authors of the site? What expertise or authority on this topic do they have?
- Is the site sponsored or hosted by an organization or group?
- Is there advertising on the site? Are other sponsors listed (such as NSF, NEA, etc.)?
- Is the approach to the topic balanced, or does it advocate a point of view?
- Is it part of a larger web site, or does it stand alone?
- What kind of site is it -a collection of primary sources; research report; virtual tour; interpretive essays; a photo essay; an online exhibit; other?
- If the site uses primary sources, is their origin given?
- How recent is the information? Updates? Links up to date?
- Who is the intended audience for this site?
Form:
- Is the technology used appropriate for the topic? Is it accessible from all computers?
- Are the images used well-chosen, effective, large enough to see? (do smaller thumbnails link to larger images)?
- Are there other graphics such as maps or icons that make the site more usable?
- Are links to other sites well-chosen and accessible?
- Is there a sitemap to help users explore the site?
- Does the site include a search function?
- Is the navigation clear (are there multiple paths to what you're looking for)?
- Does the design enhance or obscure the content and navigation of the site?
